KSC's Lush Gardens in Their Third Year

This is outside the business office.

How Does our Garden Grow?

Despite the 90 degree heat several volunteers showed up on June 29, 2013 to trim the gardens, 

which are thriving  in their third year.

Tibetan New Year/ Losar and Tsok

 Losar, also known as Tibetan New Year, is usually celebrated by Tibetans for fifteen days.

KSC had a one night celebration on February 11, 2013

 Losar commemorates miracles performed by the Buddha

The Tsok refers to the food and drink that is offered by the practitioners during the practice.

 It is said that the edible substances represent

 skillful means and the liquids represent wisdom.

  

Lama Lodru Teaching Rinpoche Weekend 1-18-13

The weekend included instruction and guidance in Calm Abiding and Insight Meditations, and the Empowerment (ritual transmission) for the Vajrasattva practice,

a purification practice that utilizes visualization and mantra recitation.
